Kimberly is in Georgia and Currently working with refugees relocation and and care services as an intern..this is what she had to say yesterday about her experience.....
"I had my first full day yesterday, wow the emotions, i walked up and saw asian, brown , black and white/arabic standing in line for food and clothes, i had a burmese woman with a baby in pillow case strapped on her shoulder and i took the other 3 children for shots, none spoke english. we were hot and thirsty and hungry we were gone from their apt from 10am- 430 pm, my car was hot even with air it was 98 degrees. i am interning in the rnc program which is relocation and placement, shots, school, education jobs. The Burmese pipo have been in refugee camp for 16 years in Thailand. i talked to a Burundi man and his family, he is 41 and lived in camp since 6 years old, i was emotionally exhausted but i love this, now they are getting smiles " kim 30 july 2008
Its great to see what God is doing in Shelter in the storm ministries we plan to get really involved with vulnerables in all parts of the world .Minister. Namwinga Agnes chibuye is still busy in Chicago working with the Handicapped under the Baptist church in oswigo.
Hans just came back from a town called cradock to shoot a Gospel Music DVD of Michaudal male voices on their 25th Annnivesary. Shelter in the storm is actually partnering with Christian fellowship in Both ministry and and community development.
The DVD is due to be released before the end of November. He is also Currently working on a film Project with Lighthouse ministries. More news later |
